Helseboka is an intelligent diagnostic tool that gives patients a clear overview of their personal health data. The platform provides easy access to medical records, upcoming appointments, lab results, and more.
Norwegian doctors Marius Christensen and Anders Stormo had a vision: to create a system that would give patients better insight into their health data—while also equipping clinics with better tools for daily operations and patient follow-up. The system had to provide simple access to medical records and enable seamless, effective communication between doctors and patients.
A search for experts in app development and machine learning led the doctors to Ambolt AI in 2017, and development of Helseboka began quickly thereafter. The Helseboka app was launched in 2019 and continues to evolve with new features and a steadily growing user base.
Helseboka is a user-centric e-health platform designed for both healthcare professionals and individuals. It is a cloud-based software solution built specifically for managing health data, offering appointment scheduling and follow-up—all in one place, with the patient at the center. The platform is developed according to best practices in information security. For patients, Helseboka offers a unique opportunity to gain full control over their personal health information.
Today, the application is actively used by municipalities, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, institutions, and healthcare professionals across the primary healthcare sector. 18,000 healthcare professionals are registered users of the interactive platform, and over 3 million individuals became familiar with Helseboka’s booking functionality during the COVID-19 pandemic.
By the end of 2022, Helseboka had grown into Norway’s largest pandemic platform, with 4.4 million registered vaccinations, and nearly half the country’s population had health data stored in their personal digital health book.
